Ad hominem arguments banned on Blue Flypaper!

For Immediate Release:

Ad hominem arguments are hereby banned from Blue Flypaper. If you post them as part of my support of free speech I will delete them. By free speech I mean "free" of hateful words.

Ad hominem means that if instead of attacking the argument you attack the person. I will not tolerate being attacked nor will I accept sexism, ageism, regionalism, racism, sizism, or bias on the basis of education, intelligent, work-experience, heritage, social-economic status, religion, etc. in this blog.

The reason that I need to ban ad hominem arguments is that neocons in particular with their small minded and spiteful intellect and greed-based sexist elitism leads them far too often to attack the people instead of the argument.

A reminder that these are people to support and these are places to avoid.

PS: Thank you No Speed Bumps!

The reason you have to ban the comments is because you're a cry baby and can't take it. Go ahead, delete my comment. You won't hurt my feelings.

As to the joke on the last post, your "readers" don't need you to add jokes...your post is enough to keep them laughing all day.

I allow 100% free-speech as long it does not constitute sexism, ageism, regionalism, racism, sizism, or bias on the basis of education, intelligent, work-experience, heritage, social-economic status, religion, etc.

That's hardly being a "cry baby".

Blue, you barking moonbat, you entire exsistance on this earth is a battle for sexism, bias, and the like. You are the only one of these loons that I have seen lately that says anything about being a "womyn". Talk about sexism.

With you warped and jilted sense of the world, you should be prepared for these kind of attacks. Any woman who has never experienced the love of a man needs help anyway.

When you can quit being a hypocrite, then maybe you can be taken seriously. Until then, suck it up and quit whining about what you don't have the power to change. If that doesn't work, go jump in a lake.

Go ahead and delete. I expect nothing less. You barking moonbat!!

You'll have to ban yourself, then, BlueBabe, as
you
have attacked the person on several occasions...

I, on the other hand, would never stoop so low as to attack BlueBabe. After all, she IS a product of her parenting, education, and whatever "logic" gets imparted to her from her friends (insert photo of mother feeding baby chicks here, and remember what the food is, that the baby chicks are being fed). She has a lot to be proud of.

I think.

Therefore I am.

Laughing...!

All of you idjits need to leave blue alone. Your arguements are always weak and not reality based. If you cant tell we need a nanny state like france by know, well, you are stupid.

At 3:52 PM, Blogger Wanderlust said...

Defended yourself from what, Blue? Your ad hominem attacks on Bush, the man, instead of his politics or policies?

Or on all the other people who disagree with you - personal attacks, smears, and judgements on their character, instead of stating your differences with their beliefs?

I suggest that there should be a Dale Carnegie Course in your future, so you won't piss people off so easily.

Oh, and what's with the tape across your eyes in your photo, now?

We all still have the link to the online newspaper article that shows your eye color, if you are somehow ashamed of the fact that you have brown eyes.

All speech is free, but some speech is more free than others.

At 6:30 PM, Blogger True Blue said...

We all know that it is not right to yell "Fire" in a crowded movie house. This a generally accepted limitation on speech for the greater good. Right?

Similarly, you should not be able to yell anything racist, sexist, regionalist, nationalistic, sizist, etc., etc. This really doesn't put a burden on speakers and protects womyn, minorities, non-heteronormative individuals, people of different ethnicities, peope of size, etc., etc., from hateful words. Probably saves as many lives as not having people yell "fire" when the movie starts.

This should not be a difficult concept.

At 1:10 AM, Blogger Wanderlust said...

Dearest BlueBabe, I can only hope that you are seated oh so comfortably in that allegorical theatre when President Ahmadinejad yells "FIRE!!!" after he deploys his favorite toy, the Shabab-3.

Best part is, you won't be able to blame him for killing you and destroying your family, because he's both ethnic (Persian and Muslim) and of a different culture (Iranian Muslim) from you.

Or perhaps Kim Jong Il will be the one to yell...

Maybe India...

Or Pakistan...

Or Al-Qaeda...

Or China...

And look on the bright side: your first President of non-male sexual extraction (and non-male sexual preference) will be the one who will set the stage.

Me, I can't wait :)

Meanwhile, your quote:

The reason that I need to ban ad hominem arguments is that neocons in particular with their small minded and spiteful intellect and greed-based sexist elitism leads them far too often to attack the people instead of the argument.

Once AGAIN proves that you can't help but attack people who disagree with you, instead of what the specific thing is that you disagree with them about.

Now, let's have a look at you in Webster's, shall we?

HYPOCRITE: n. A person who professes beliefs and opinions that they do not hold

Now let's hear that ad hominem of yours again, BlueBabe:

...neocons in particular with their small minded and spiteful intellect and greed-based sexist elitism...

Sorry to bust your little neocon bubble but I, True Blue, am attacking the specific thing I disagree with...

"...small minded and spiteful intellect and greed-based sexist elitism..."

No hypocrisy here.

Your words:

“I will not tolerate being attacked nor will I accept sexism, ageism, regionalism, racism, sizism, or bias on the basis of education, intelligent, work-experience, heritage, social-economic status, religion, etc. in this blog.”

Sexism – “Womyn”?

Regionalism – Small states “not significant”?

Bias of religeon – “Crazy right wing religious nut..”

My words:
A fine example of Hypocrisy 101.

So you engage in labelism and belittle my point, on the basis of labeling me?

What on earth do you have in mind when you smear me personally with the label, "neocon"?

Explain please, or stop labeling me.

Poor, poor, little girl, who can't seem to respond to anyone's criticism of her debate points without her resorting to blatantly obvious, hypocritical, ad-hominem behavior...I pity you. Really.

Your whole website depresses me. Can I say that or is it too "sad hominem"? Blogs themselves are played out, or am I being too "fad hominem"? Don't attack me for pointing this out, because I hereby ban all Chad Hominem comments.

Aw, come on, guys, the whole site is a parody. Lighten up and enjoy it.

Now then--Blue, when will you stop committing blogism and treating Live Journal users as 2nd-class citizens? You have persistently refused to blacklist me even though I qualify on many counts: armed, Christian, live in a Red State, non-feminist, pro-life, and not a member of the Democratic Party. BLACKLIST ME! BE FAIR! Thank you.

I'm not so sure this is parody and there is a lot here that I disagree with. I think the author of this blog gives to little creedence to personal responsibility. The gov't can't do everything.

At 7:17 PM, Blogger Gyrobo said...

I agree. This site was probably designed by a liberal to draw in other liberals, but something went wrong- now it's populated by conservatives! It's like the sun; you can't look directly at it.

Can I get blacklisted on grounds of freakishness? (Thank you, anonymous; I hadn't thought of that one.)

Is it just me who see's this site at it's intent?

This site was a liberal parody site. In otherwords, True Blue wanted to point out how nutcases react.

True Blue is a subtle genius. Or severely mentally ill.

You must not have read the post. In the name of protecting free speech I am no longer allowing hateful attacks like yours on this site. Please refrain from calling me or anyone else "mentally ill" or referring to this site as a joke.

I recommend a good psychiatrist.

His name is Dr. Harry Reid, listen to him for 30 minutes and your brain will be aborted.

At 6:48 PM, Blogger Gyrobo said...

Actually, I'm pretty sure Harry Reid is pro-life.

Sorry for delays. I worked at a homeless shelter during Thanksgiving Week and they didn't have any computers or broadband at the shelter. Talk about bias! I'll be posting my experiences just as soon as I finish my shift at the free trade coffee haus.

I do not blame Bush for creating the homeless problem but I do blame him for making it 10x worse during his administration and for cutting funds to help the noble people w/out homes in this country to make bombs to make poor Iraqis homeless.

As for global warming, he may not have created Katrina but his policies certainly made it worse and have pretty much guaranteed that we will have many more of them. Unfortunately, we will rue the day that he stole the elections from Presidents Gore and Kerry.

True Blue I find your intelligence scintillating, your beauty helenistic, your wit worthy of shakespeare, your sexuality burning with unheeded desire. The thought of you blacklisting my blog excites me. The thought of you READING my blog nickbravo.blogspot.com inflames my intellectual passion the way no other fluffy minded liberal has done before. One last question....Did you ENJOY being handcuffed?

At 3:18 PM, Blogger True Blue said...

As all womyn, I've been handcuffed by our male dominated society my entire life so having little metal things around my wrists wasn't that big of a deal.

At 11:27 PM, Blogger Nick Bravo said...

So I guess the question should be....Do you enjoy being handcuffed? Or would you rather handcuff others?....the way you've handcuffed my heart?
