Numbers Don't Lie: Let Ted Kennedy Select the Next Supreme Court Justice
Despite those who don't think I understand statistical analysis and stuff, I have a pretty good understanding of the normal distribution and statistical sampling. And I think you would all agree that 6.3 million would constitute (that being a key word here) a statistically representative sample
With that established, let's look at what these 6.3 million people agree and it turns out that year in and year out they agree that Ted Kennedy should represent them in making decisions. Since there is nothing more important for government to decide than selecting our Supreme Court justices, statistics tells us that Ted Kennedy should make the decision!
Now, I can already picture your arguments especially those who don't have quite the grasp of mathematics as I do and you're thinking what about California? It has even more people. I'm okay with that one too. Go ahead and let Barbara Boxer decide, I'm okay with that one too!
Finally, I can imagine some of you saying well aren't conservative politicians elected as well so why not let them participate. If you look closely you'll see that those are largely from smaller states (not statistically significant) or got there via election fraud or campaign finance fraud.

I once used that exact mathematic model to prove the existence of the tooth fairy. No one believed me.
In one of your statements I was led to believe your were not a hypocrite. But here you are stepping on the little people (Small states). Tell me, why do the little people not matter? I’ll tell you, because they are not above the law like the big people. Someone who places himself above the law has no business picking a judge. It has nothing to do with math.
I resent that!
I think Ted Kennedy more resembles a horses ass!
In small states the # of people may not be enough to be statistically significant. It is nothing against the people, just the number. That is why big states like NY, CA and Mass generally produce correct results while smaller ones in population can produce incorrect results. Look at the last election and you can see what I mean.
As for college math professors being conservative, it's hard to believe that any professor could really be conservative. It's impossible for me to believe that a good university that is committed to providing it's students with a full education would allow a conservative faculty member.
The last election proves that little people (States) can beat the big people (states) by banding together.
As for colleges hiring conservatives, believe it! My son-in-law (PhD) is a tenured professor. So there!
In the spirit of the LGF "memogate" flashing gif (where Charles superimposed the faked "smoking memo" over the same wording typed in a Mac Word 2004 file), I think someone should superimpose Drunken Kennedy's mug on Blue's post with that of Senator Palpatine's, when he became Emperor of the Galaxy in Star Wars III...
p.s. wanderbabe, whatever you may be (chromosomally or surgically), take a chill pill...or perhaps one of these. Makes PMS go away in a jiffy...
What do you mean "correct results"? Do you mean results that favor your position? I assume that all results are "correct results" unless there's been a lot of election fraud.
Look at what has happened from the candidate that the "Red" states brought in...Bush since the election. (I'll ignore the Karl Rove massive election rigging for the moment).
Our economy is in trouble, FEMA is a disaster, people feel disinfranchised, Americans dying in Iraq, hurricane/tsunamis and other natural disasters on the rise, Muslims rioting in France...all of which are either due to Bush or have been made worse by him and his administration.
I think it's safe to say that President Kerry would be doing a far better job. Ergo the "wrong" presdident was selected.
The blame for all those problems lies squarely at the feet of the people who voted for it, not the incompetent officials who did poorly.
And those riots in France aren't religious in nature. They're student riots in response to the allegedly accidental electrocution of two teenagers.
It's obvious that Ted's drinking problem is the fault of the eeeeevil KKKarl Rove. He is so hell bent on destroying liberals that he would force Teddy to consume copious amounts of alcoholic beverages!
Yeah, that creepy picture just makes me question whether or not this whole blog is satire. I'm starting to suspect that it is.
--==/ Once again, backpacker. \==--
I think Senator Kennedy looks very stately. I guess people see what they want to in pictures. I see a strong, kind liberal leader who has done so very much for the unfortunate in this country.
and let us not forget what he did for the unfortunate Mary Jo. This man is a modern day hero, a legend in his own time.
fatman, not only do I have a personal troll, but I have one who named themselves after me. I feel so honored...!
BlueBabe, if you see a "strong, kind" man in Teddy's (D-Chivas) photograph, I want whatever chemical substance your brain is on right now. Must be potent.
Do you suppose those rings under Teddy's eyes could be due to lack of sleep - assuming that the older he gets, and the closer he comes to his appointment with the Grim Reaper, he just might be wondering how he will fare in a Final Judgement?
If that's true, I suspect that the Devil will look a lot like Mary Jo to him...
I've heard he is tireless. As I remember that unfortunate incident in Florida with his nephew happened late at night. Probably because he typically works such late hours on our country's behalf that it takes him a little while to unwind.
Still, the picture makes him look horrible. What side are you on? Your rock-solid convictions are starting to look a little... shakey.
As I have said in other posts. Unlike conservatives, liberal politicans are not afraid to look like us. If you hadn't noticed, regular people have curves, blemishes, warts, etc. Godess bless Ted Kennedy.
WOW!!!
I can commit felony death by vehicle, killing a woman whom I was unfaithful on my wife with, then walk away from it, and the Goddess will bless me!!!
Damn. I'm in the wrong business.
You know what I think? I think you're all about the gold, man. You can't wrap your mind around anything other than the thought of Ted Kennedy not getting any sleep, and then (for the sake of argument), jumping a turnstile. It can't be done. So get over it.
Because today, we have a little something called "the Internet". Now, this Internet allows us to communicate over vast distances. In effect, we can all "be" Ted Kennedy. Why would you download that?
Even if he had done these alleged but not proven acts, let's remember he was a victim of the loss of two brothers to unsolved assassinations. Is it surprising that he might have "acted out" just a little bit under those circumstances.
Unless you've have two brothers shot and killed on nationwide TV, I suggest you don't judge him.
Moral of the story.
If you are involved in an accident while under the influence resulting in death, run. All you will be guilty of is “leaving the scene of an accident!”
In 1973, and I quote, Ted said;
"Do we operate under a system of equal justice under law? Or is there one system for the average citizen and another for the high and mighty?" (What a hypocrite!!)
anonymous, Teddyboy's statement you quote was more accurate than you give it credit for being: he merely "forgot" to add the fact that the Kennedy clan considers itself far above the "high and mighty"...so technically, his statement was correct.
JFK's daddy bought him the Presidency, but he did try to be a good one...and RFK did go after organized crime quite well (after all, his daddy's crimes were committed years earlier).
Teddy, by comparison, will only be remembered by future generations for the crimes he committed against Mary Jo Kopechne and her family. Nothing else he ever did, or tried to do, will matter.
Using that logic, anyone with a family tragedy would be innocent of any crimes that they committ.

That's silly. Teddy will be remember for being the greatest of the Kennedy clan. It is so hard to list all of the incredible things he's done. For example, his support of Sein Finn has helped bring peaced to that occupied land.
Once again, I'm left wondering if this site is for real or just some sick parody. Who would do such a thing?!
Then the voices subside.
And then darkness envelops...
New post is up. Let's move our discussion there. TB
why hasn't Ted Kennedy been indicted on felony murder charges for the death of Mary Jo.
When I become a lawyer I think I will indict Mr. Ted Kennedy and put him behind bars where he belongs.
It was never proven that Ted Kennendy did anything wrong. Even if he did, he is like Tookie Williams in the way that he has redeemed himself in his actions since then.
nope moonbat the similarity of tookie and teddy is they're both criminals. Difference is that teddy had people (including police) cover for him. Teddy is the classic rich, white, intellectually and morally bankrupt male.
By the way, You have lovely eyes.
"morally bankrupt"?
But he's a liberal?
Teddy has you all fooled. He's using you all to hide from the law.
Hey moonbat, wanna have some fun ;)
