It's Time to Think Jesse Jackson 2008!

With the recent news that Islamic extremism is being bred in prisons, we need a leader who understands that mindset. Know thy enemy.

Jessie understands how crazy, fanatical lunatics think.

Like all great leaders, Jesse Jackson knows how to seize a media opportunity when presented. A crazy bible pounding Pat Robertson makes a comment about offing Venezuela's President and Jesse knows to fly to Venezuela, legitimize the comment, then to tell both nations to stop the rhetoric. Let me tell you, when Jackson says "back down," the governments of both countries know that it is time to cool it. You do not want this man's wrath!

But Jackson is also about love and he has so much love to give that he is known to spread it around and does not selfishly limit it to his wife or family as others might. Is he honored for this? Of course not, hypocritical conservatives run photos like those above with mistresses circled like that picture above of mistress Karin Stanford with whom he fathered a beautiful love child, but you cannot keep this man down.

During the Clinton impeachment trial, Jackson was Clinton's spiritual advisor. Now some would call this hypocritical given Jackson's own history of both extramarital affairs and extensive efforts to cover them up. That is small thinking. The President of the United States is the most powerful man in the world (barring the Dali Lama of course), so he can afford an experienced expert in such matters... and Jackson is the best!

A sign of Jackson's power is how far people will go to attack him even over the slightest little things (and don't forget to compare these to what George Bush is doing like taking health care away from babies and invading peaceful countries). Amongst the things people attack Jackson for:
  • Referring to New York City as "Hymietown"
  • Being "America's #1 Shakedown Artist"
  • That Jackson's Claim that Dr. King died in his arms is a falsehood
  • For the illegal misuse of tax-exempt funds
I don't have the time or space here to refute each and everyone of these claims, but since you are entitled to my viewpoint, let me share the following:

1. Jackson is a victim. If he is guilty of anything it is in not striking back harsher at those who have victimized him.
2. Jackson loves NY. If he called it "Hymietown" he meant it as a complement.
3. Unless you were there with Dr. King in your arms when he died, then you have no right questioning Jesse about his claims.
4. The illegal misuse of tax-exempt funds is just a mumbo-jumbo technicality. Since when is it illegal or immoral to take money that loving people have voluntarily given you and then give that money to a mother who you made love to and a child who you sired. Since this girl doesn't have a father in the truest sense, Jackson was in essence giving the money to an orphan. In my book that's called "charity" not "hush money," "bribe," "tax evasion" or anything else. If it's illegal to give money to kids without fathers why not go after everyone who's donated to "Save the Children"?

Jackson is the man in 2008. You heard it here at Blue Flypaper!

LOL! That's it. This site has got to be a parody site!

It's actually the title of a book. All lies of couse! If you are white and you fight injustice you are called a crusader. Look at Ralph Nader. If you are black and do the same thing they call it a shakedown.

As for this being a "parody", we are no more a parody of a website than Bush is a parody of a president.

When conservatives can't face facts they attack the messenger. That's why they don't like the Los Angeles Times and the New York Times.

Sure I'm a parody and the war in Iraq was justified too. Sure! And stealing the last 2 elections was a parody as well. We're still laughing over those ones. Real funny. Yep. Real darn funny.

Okay, jokes over. Our world is being destroyed by capitalism, globalism, repression, and sexism. There are probably more people in poverty than ever before, certainly more than 20 years ago the beginning of the "Reagan Revolution." We need a revolution, but not Reagan.

Of course our world is being destroyed. But it's not our fault.

Jesse Jackson is the perfect example of that old saying: "Power tends to corrupt; and absolute power corrupts absolutely." He's been top dog in the race-baiting game so long, he figures he can get away with anything.

And he's obviously been taking lessons from ol' Slick Willie when it comes to picking women. Karin Stanford looks likes she fell off the top of the Ugly Tree and hit every branch on the way down.

You are all forgetting that Rev. JAckson is a victim of our racist society. The fact that he has been able to rise against all of the injustices thrown at him is incredible. Finally, he has the racist media tracking his every move. They know they can sell newspapers if he is "caught" doing something and they are not above fabricating misdeeds.

What are you smoking there, girl? The Main Stream Media (MSM to you) is so afraid of Reverend Jesse that when he says "s***", they sqaut.

They why haven't they ever paid him is due? Why did they make such a big deal out of the tax and love child mis-understandings? Where are the accolades? If he was white, they'd be recommending him for a Nobel Peace Prize instead of making a big deal out of his trip to Venezeula.

I hear after visiting Caracas he refered to it as "Jaime-town".

true blue, you said "If you are white and you fight injustice you are called a crusader. Look at Ralph Nader."

Now, I don't think that they should use this sort of word when referring to a fine liberal like Ralph Nader. The word has very negative connotations with our sisters and brothers of the Muslim faith.

Why label someone who is so full of love, and has only the best interests of ALL Americans, and indeed all peoples of the world with a label like "Crusader"?

To show how unique Ralph is and in the Liberal spirit that has made this country great and a byword for generosity in the third world among our less fortunate sisters and brothers, we should use a word meaning something like "Joan of Arc". After all Joan was a womyn who fought patriarchal male phallocentric oppression to free her people from the very forefathers of those who now vote in such droves for Bushhitler.

Where better to look for the way forward to a better and more caring world than with Ralph Nader and Saint Joan - led, of course, by Jesse Jackson.

"paid him his due"? Hell's bells, girl, EVERYBODY pays Ol' Jesse his due. If they don't, he calls them out and threatens to boycott them. I could live quite comfortably just on what he's SUPPOSED to pay in taxes. If, on the other hand, I tried living on what he actually does pay, I'd be sleeping in a cardboard box and eating dog food.

As my (grand)Pappy used to say, in the poker game of life, you're playing with three cards, and none of them match.

Anonymous: you are absolutely right. "Crusader" is was a poor choice of words. That's not the first time I've made that mistake. A few years ago at the coop I was talking about a "crusade" to get the university to force the Young Republicans off campus--since it was basically just a front for the KKK--and this young Muslim man took issue with my use of the term. You're both right.

As for fatman's comment, let's not forget to see all of the good Mr. Jackson has done which overshawdows everything else. Look at the incredible gains that minorities have made over the past 30 years--the exact same period that Mr. Jackson has been fighting racism. You cannot separate the two.

Oh, and I'll bet your campus "crusade" against the Young Republicans went over like a lead balloon. Even state-run universities aren't going to kick out the only students who actually pay their own way.

true blue, you wrote "With the recent news that Islamic extremism is being bred in prisons, we need a leader who understands that mindset. Know thy enemy."

Now, not wanting to criticize, because that may lead to a lack of self-esteem, but surely you should have pointed out to your readers that "Islamic extremism" is just relative, and not nearly as damaging as right-wing fundamentalism, as shown in the White House with the present administration.

You also said "Jessie understands how crazy, fanatical lunatics think." Perhaps you should have pointed out that Jesse learnt this from being on the receiving end of racism and discrimination.

Peace.

good points anonymous. Victims of racism, sexism, abuse, sizism, etc. should not and cannot be held accountable for their acting out. No the racists, sexists, abusers, sizists, etc. are the only ones that can be taken to task.

You call fathering a child and forgetting to tell anyone about it a "Misunderstanding"?

Jesse Jackson a "victim"? Who is brainwashing you??

I'm not a "right winger". I hate bush. I'm not liberal either. But the one thing I've noticed when talking to "liberals" or people on the "left" is they as so out of touch with reality that you can't even hold an intelligent converstation with them! Learn to think for yourself, girl! Stop believing the crap that's fed to you by the lunatics!

By the way, Jesse "sired" a child, not "squired" one.

Fixed the typo-thx.

Of course Jesse is a victim. Look at him then look at the Euro-centric, white, male dominated society he is forced to contend with. Of course he's a victim silly!

Also, I do think for myself. After a disasterous relationship with a righteous guy what put so much into the cause that he had no time for me, I joined a womyn's support group and through them I learned to speak up and not depend on boyfriend du jour for my opinions. I also learned this incredible empowering world of feminist writers! God, they are great!

Anyway, I'm glad you hate Bush, so do I (and so does my old boyfriend!).
