Blue Flypaper Sends its Props to Alec Baldwin

Update: Alec Baldwin is a good dad. Story here.

Alec Baldwin is one of the top actors in Hollywood but he hasn't let his A-level celebrity status affect his commitment to fighting against all conservative initiatives. He even threatened the whole country that they just might lose Alec Baldwin if they elected GW as President. I wouldn't be surprised if that threat alone brought 1 million or more votes to the Democrats. I'm glad that he didn't go through with it. No doubt he would have moved to France where they have true democracy not too mention incredible worker's benefits.

Blue Flypaper Lauds Sean Penn

Blue Flypaper lauds actor Sean Penn. Not just for his amazing acting career including the hilarious "We're No Angels" but for his social activism. Unlike so many other celebrities that just talk the talk, Penn went to Baghdad and became an expert on WMDs and Iraqi affairs. This is how Penn described Iraq before the U.S. invasion where he called it "the most decimated, starved, diseased and polluted place I had ever witnessed." Look what we've done there!

Sean Penn we laud you and your liberal celebrity activism.

UPDATE!!! Sean Penn went to New Orleans and personally saved many people. In addition he gave hundreds of Hurricane Katrina survivors the chance to see a real live celebrity. Is that great or what? Imagine, you've lost everything you own, your house is a hole of mud, you haven't had food or water for a week and up rows a top notch Hollywood actor! Incredible! Absolutely incredible! Let's see FEMA match that!

Blue Flypaper is Humbled by Michael Moore

History will show that he was perhaps the biggest film maker of our time. Anyone can make a film that entertains, Moore makes movies that change opinions. How many people would even know about Columbine unless he had done a movie aobut it. Moore doesn't make movies, he makes statements. He's not afraid of anyone, not George W. Bush, not his dad. Moore is larger than life!

Do you think these are exaggerations? Name one film maker with Moore's ability to go beyond the truth into the heart of the issue. People who attack Moore for twisting chronology and events to suit his agenda are blind to the injustices that he alone is fighting.

Michael Moore, we are humbled by your immense presence. Hopefully Hollywood can create more of people like you!

Three Blue Flypaper Cheers for Jane Fonda!

Stunningly beatiful actress and big hearted activist Jane Fonda says she intends to take a cross-country bus tour to call for an end to U.S. military operations in Iraq.

"I can't go into any detail except to say that it's going to be pretty exciting," she said.

Fonda said her anti-war tour in March will use a bus that runs on "vegetable oil."

None of this should be a surprise as Jane has been a big supporter of U.S. troops (who love her) ever since she went to Vietnam in order to try and get our boys back from the Republican War Machine they were stuck in. She is also an avid environmentalist and exercise guru.

Blue Flypaper Salutes Tim Robbins

Tim Robbins is a great actor and a friend of all caring people. I heard Tim on NPR and he was so right on about the corporations that control the world and how Karl Rove stole the last election. Tim is the perfect epitome of the liberal Hollywood elite that I so admire. Instead of taking all of his money and awards and running away to Malibu, Tim takes time from his incredibly busy schedule to talk about all of the terrible things the Republicans are doing. How many actors do that? Furthermore, being a man of the people as he is can be a thankless job, that is until True Blue was launched. Tim Robbins, we thank you!

Blue Flypaper Sings "We Still Love You John Kerry"

It was so much fun to see John Kerry on the Lance Armstrong bike race in Europe. Well, I didn't actually see it but I heard that John Kerry was great! I'm so glad that he is a Senator. Even though he's not actually from California, he is one of the most liberal, if not the most liberal members of Senate and we think that is just great! Why do we need to have moderate voices in the Senate when ALL of the Repubicans are trying to push us into a theocracy. If Bush had his way, schools would be turned into Churches while rich people don't pay any taxes.

Blue Flypaper Hails Barbara Boxer

You can't be blue without loving Barbara Boxer! No U.S. Senator has done more to obstruct the horrible goals of the Republicans. We salute Barbara and look forward to many more years of her stopping the enemy.

Here is a link to Barbara Boxers official website and it lists a lot of the things that she is having to work overtime to stop. We need to be thankful for Barbara--just think of everything that would be happening if she wasn't there.

Welcome To BlueFlypaper

This site is dedicated to celebrating the blue interests of this great blue state (California). The members of Blue Flypaper are made up of members of lovingly progressive people and we have a particularly strong perspective of what is good (liberalism) and bad (conservatism). We have come together to support blue (i.e., Democratic) causes and to do everything we can to stop Republicans from achieving their hateful goals! Most importantly, we respect the fact that you are entitled to our opinion.
