When Beautiful People Almost Did a Beautiful Thing: Brought Peace to the Mid-East

This ran on e-online a few years ago:
Hollywood's golden couple [Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt] has joined a group of celebrities lending their support to OneVoice, a grass-roots Mideast peace plan, whose catch phrase is "empowering the silent majority."...British tabloids reported that the Aniston-Pitts, as well as a host of other would-be peacemaking celeb members of OneVoice's Entertainment Council, were planning a journey to the Middle East to put their peace plan into play."
And I just came across it again and started to cry. I realized how close we were to peace in the middle east. Unfortunately, jen and Brad's fragile relationship couldn't hold it together and when they separated we lost our best chance at peace in the region.

When I think of it and the ensuing pain and anguish, the lost promise, the senselessness of it all, I just am so sad about the divorce. Of course, I'm said about the Palestinian thing too and I guess that they've had their own troubles since the Pitt/Aniston divorce. So pretty much there are no winners in this one.

I just don't understand with all of the resources of our government, couldn't they have at least tried to keep Jen and Brad together? If they had, perhaps they would have been able to see through their peace mission and gotten the Israelis and Palestinians to like each other. Jen and Brad were certainly well positioned to do so since they were loved by the people of both countries. (Bush is not, the UN is not, Condi is not, but Brad/Jen were!).

I'd like to think that Brad could do it by himself but what happened if he allied himself with just one of the factions (say Palestine) and then Jen jumped on on the side of the Israelis? Talk about WWIII! If they can't do it together maybe it's better if they just stay out.

But it's still sad, and history is going to look back and rue the loss of that marriage (and the chance to see what incredibly beautiful and talented kids would be the result of the union) not to mention the whole peace thingie being disrupted. So sad. So sad.

Bring Peace to the Mideast One T-Shirt at a Time!

I haven't heard that but Ron Silver, who is a front for Haliburton, just released his own DVD on the UN. If it is from the right and about the UN it must be fiction.

Why do Republikkkan's (thank you readers for that term) hate the UN? Is it because they don't like a global body getting in their way of invading peaceful countries? Makes sense to me.

I heard that the US was particularly incensed that the UN had largely solved the problems in the Congo. Bush and Co. were hoping to invade Congo (to save them of course) and then steal all of the minerals. So sad that our country would prefer to invade Africa than feed it.

This is just such a shame. I've been crying for weeks. its obvious that the VRWC is behind the breakup, since them and their zionist minions dont want peace in the middle east. If the israelis really wanted peace, all they'd have to do is follow the example of the peace loving palestinians.

Peace in the middle east is very important as it is everywhere. It's unfortunate that our military industrial complex won't allow it and the compliant press looks the other way. That's why people like Brad and Jen are so important. They give explosure to conflicts between Palestinians and Israelis in the Gaza Strip and West Bank that might otherwise go unreported.

What the hell are you smokin?

Ya know, you may be young and dumb, but at least you're so far out there you don't even realize how pathetic your thoughts really are. It must be very peaceful inside your head.

Sure, pick on me but you'd be playing a different tune if Brad and Jen had gotten their chance to bring peace to the Mid-East. History will show that to have been one of the most unfortunate missed opportunities. I'd like to think that Brad and Angela will give it a shot but they are pretty stretched with the new relationship, the paparazzi, new movie projects, etc. that who knows if their calendars will ever allow it.
