I have seen the enemy and their name is...

I am particularly upset about the Independent Sources blog because I am pretty sure that they are the ones that posted us on Total Fark. Initially I thought this was a complement and even sent them a note thanking them. However, in the end, I believe they did it to ridicule us. We never did anything to them so I don't know why they did that to us. (Karl Rove must work there!)

Most of our readers will never have heard of Independent Sources because as a true liberal you should try and stay away from reading non-liberal publications like this. How can I tell that these guys non-liberals? Well, just look at some of the articles that they have on their blog:

Hillary a Moderate? Not so fast!
In this article they say Hillary is not a moderate and votes liberal, as if that is somehow bad.

"That Hissing Sound You Hear" is Paul Krugman Running Out of Ways to Denegrate the Economy. Believe it or not but Independent Sources even has a bone to pick with Paul Krugman; one of the greatest minds of this century. I have no doubt that if Krugman chose to make movies instead of write columns he could be the next Michael Bay. He's that good.

NYT and Newsweek once again the source of Fidel Castro's Talking Points. So what's wrong with that? These are great, great periodicals and what enemy of the country wouldn't want to quote from them. I do all of the time.

Anyway, you get the idea. I'm going to send Independent Sources an email and see how they like public ridicule now that the shoe is on the other foot. It's not so funny is it?

Update: Well to no one's surprise Independent Sources didn't take too well to our calling them out. They pointed to this posting and instead of an apology they labeled us the "World's Worst Liberal Blog." Now we're certain that Karl Rove works there. Even more telling to their sinister nature is that they have a new post that criticizes the ACLU. Can you believe that? The ACLU practically wrote the constitution. They protect everyone. They're great. If you are attacking them then you are attacking the people that they represent too. Speaks volumes.

Update #2: A lot of mean things being said. I think I now know where those George Bush votes came from!

Update: Blue Flypaper has added Independent Sources to the Blue Flypaper Black List.

Thanks for the tip. I now know to stay away from Indepedent Sources.

I've dealt with their kind before. They smirk while they tax poor people and take rights away from minorities. They should just be decent people and stop doing those things.

I think that Indepedent Sources is a joke. Who could possibly have a problem with Barbara Boxer? She's amazing and we'd be blessed if she would do us the honor as being this country's president. One thing for sure, she wouldn't get us stuck in the next Iraq and wouldn't allow prisoners to be abused as does the current administration. Oh yeah, she'd raise taxes on the rich who right now pay nothing!

Hang in there and stay true to your vision. Only a few more years and less if he is indicted.

What's all the fuss about. They are conservative which by definition means they are wrong. Conservatives have been wrong about every single thing from Iraq to terrorism to the economy. We need to raise taxes, raise wages, give free healthcare, leave Iraq, and stop supporting corrupt governments. We also need to lower rents, feed homeless people, and get rid of the (un)Patriot act. Why are these things so hard for Bush & co to understand. Read my lips...

Michelle Malkin, Captain's Quarters and Independent Sources are all of the same thing. Blah, blah, blah, free market this, blah, blah, blah free market that.

If the free market is such a good thing how come China, a communist country, is doing so well? Huh free-marketers? Answer that! It strikes me that when you give the workers the control of the economy things really start to move which is which the Chineese now own IBM (and perhaps more things that we don't even know about).

Oh sure, and if I was a Christian I guess I should go out of my way to watch porno's just to expose myself to that thinking too?

Liberals should do whatever necessary to not let liberalims be diluted by hateful conservative thought! If you don't like that thinking go back to your stupid hateful conservative blog!

MJ Said:
If the free market is such a good thing how come China, a communist country, is doing so well?

The average Chinese lives in poverty (espc in the interior provinces) with a 20% unemployment rate and another 20% living on less than $1 per day (source unicef.org). Further, the successes you cite are a direct result of market-reform and loosening (liberalizing) of the old Soviet-style central planning framework. These reforms allowed foreign investment and lead to the success of the Chinese ecomony. I think the average worker had very little to do with the rapid economic growth. Espc since a large percentage of the employed are really under-employed.

Furthermore, China too has to deal with the realities of Islamofascism (the religion of pieces)

Look at this (warning graphic pictures)

http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/111050.php

China has no troops in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, or Afganistan; no stake in the outcome of the Israeli-Arab conflict, and does not support Israel in any meaningful way. Yet they too are now targets of Islam, espc in the western Chinese provinces. If you don't like Gitmo, I am sure you would be innerved by what the Chinese will do to these terrorists.

I am trying to find some common groud here, don't flame me.

Listen, regardless of your opinions on the Iraq war, GWB, the current administration, Karl Rove and so on...You must recognize that the Islamofascists would be attacking the US regardless of whom is in the White House. They bombed the WTC in 1993 and US Embassies in Africa when Clinton was in office. They took hostages when Carter was in the WHite House. It goes on and on. Regardless of differences between Dems and Rebs, we should leave then on the shores of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. We must unite to confront and fight this common enemy or we will hang (or be blown up) separately.
The argument that Iraq is a recuiting tool for terrorists is true but if it wasn't Iraq, it would be Afganistan, Balkans, or some other convenient excuse. Theur logic is very simple, convert to Islam or die and they repeatedly and very openly make this known.

BTW I read blogs from several points of view because I do value and respect others' opinions.

Not that it matters, but the Timothy McVeigh worshippers over at Conservative Underground just found this blog.

Some site called BlogMeister USA (ohh, that's sooo creative) spoke ill of you as well.

Here is their link...

I'll have to go back and see if there are any pro-McVeigh posts there as well.

The children over at CUmstain have taken a brief respite from sniffing DU's butt and are now seething over your blog. Mommy needs to tell them to turn off the computer and go to bed.

Sure is bad that folks at CU read from other than "EVIL CONSERVATIVE" sites. Maybe that is why it is so easy to destroy any argument that you present. BTW. McVey deserved to die, too bad it was peacfully by leathal injection. Slow and painfull would have been better.

I can tell that conservatives have come to this board because all of the hateful comments. I don't have this problem with liberal readers which proves that conservatives are rude.

Second, with regard to the long comment addressing China. Even though you disagree with MJ's intelligent comment, your response is polite and articulate so you must have some liberal blood in you! Good for you.

I'm no expert on China but I think if you look at their history I think we can see that their troubles have not been the making of their own. I saw the movie "Sand Pebbles" with Steve McQueen and it showed how the US was hurting foreign countries as far back as 100 years ago. Don't we ever learn?

Neither of us knows what would happen if they had stayed the course of pure communism without letting Nike and Walmart in to screw up the worker's paradise they were working so hard to set up.

I do agree we need this country to unite. That is why I believe that Barbara Boxer needs to become president. She is an incredible uniter and would bring all of the factions of this divided country under one cohesive whole. I pray she accepts the assignment!

Fear not fellow patriots. A recall election is in the works for Nov. 2006. Bush will be voted out of office and a suitable replacement will be named. We must take this country back and we will do it with the first presidential recall election in history!

Blue Flypaper, this is one of the funniest blogs I have seen in a while!

Read these posts carefully folks -- things aren't always what they seem...

Thank you BOW2k5. As you know, I enjoy your blog!

I've gotten a lot of comments some good and some bad. In other words, some from fellow loyal Democrats and others from hateful, spiteful, mean Republicans. (Albeit one was from a thoughtful individual who I suspect has some liberal blood in them).

I have not deleted any comments because unlike Republicans, I believe in free speech. I believe that the Democrats who wrote the original constitution intended that blog comments be left as is, unless of course they offend or make people uncomfortable in which case they need to be deleted post haste.

Why because we speak the truth at a time that the right is focused on stacking the supreme court with right wing lunatics that support abortion clinic bombings?

By the way, I find your name "fatman" to be insensitive so I don't even know why I bothered responding since that alone shows me what kind of (mean) person you are!

At 11:34 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

he's being mean and insensitive to himself?! doh!

At 12:10 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

I call myself fatman because I'm FAT. And I'm a man. I've accepted the truth about myself. If other people (hint, hint) would do the same, this would be a much better world.

At 3:05 PM, Blogger True Blue said...

I can respect that but some people may consider it insensitive to other people of size.

As for me and my name, my politics are "blue" (you have probably figured that out) and because, I'm 100% Democrat I'm "True" by definition.

Since the founding of this flawed but full-of-potential country, it has been the Democrats that have always been on the side of truth and justice. That's why Nixon was a Republican--he ouldn't handle the burden of always thinking for the people and not himself.

At 1:24 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Democrats on the side of "truth and justice"? You mean the Democratic Party whose governors fought against desegregation, and finally co-opted it with the so-called "War on Poverty" by LBJ that ensured their victim status?

Oh, pardon me, I must be a Mean Republican - you know, the party of Lincoln, and the whole "free the slaves" thing.

At 7:35 AM, Blogger True Blue said...

It is well documented that Licoln only freed the slaves so that he'd have more people to tax and more people to work in his factories. This wasn't about enlightenment, it was about money. Why do you think he put himself on the $5 bill?
